More than half of the health issues in Poland are due to an inadequate nutritional profile and insufficient physical activity, resulting in cardiovascular diseases, including myocardial infarctions.
Cardiac muscle necrosis
Cardiac muscle necrosis (infarctus myocardii) refers to the death of heart muscle cells resulting from prolonged ischemia. If ischemia lasts for at least 20 minutes, cellular death occurs, which is detectable in a histological analysis. In an autopsy or microscopic examination, muscle tissue necrosis can only be identified after several hours. In the case of complete heart muscle cell death, it occurs within 2-4 hours and is contingent upon the presence of collateral circulation in the ischemic area. [1]
