Incessant rushing, stress, too many obligations, and an insufficient amount of sleep hours are states experienced by most people. The result of this can be a lack of energy during the day, exhaustion, fatigue, and even excessive drowsiness. However, if symptoms do not subside after recovering strength, it is worth considering whether they might stem from health problems. In such a case, it is best to undergo examinations in a laboratory that can assist in determining the source of the persistent lack of energy.
Comprehensive peripheral blood hematological analysis
The most frequently prescribed and foundational laboratory examination for assessing blood status is the complete peripheral blood hematological analysis. This procedure facilitates a thorough evaluation of erythrocyte, leukocyte, and platelet parameters, thereby enabling the early detection of disorders within the hematopoietic system. It is advisable to undergo this test regularly—at least once every twelve months—as a preventive measure, particularly for individuals experiencing persistent fatigue or weakness. Deviations from normal reference ranges in the results may serve as initial indicators of developing pathological conditions and should therefore not be disregarded. In Poland, this examination can be performed free of charge under the public healthcare system, provided that a referral from a primary care physician or specialist is obtained.
