However, the quantitative requirement for this element exhibits substantial variability contingent upon demographic factors, including age stratification and biological sex. Within nutritional science, two primary reference frameworks are employed: the **Estimated Average Requirement** (EAR), which denotes the intake level satisfying the needs of 50% of healthy individuals within a specified cohort, and the **Recommended Dietary Allowance** (RDA), which incorporates a safety margin to cover virtually the entire population (97–98%).
