The role of nutrition in maintaining health is invaluable, both for healthy individuals and those dealing with various conditions. Among the diseases where a well-chosen diet plays a crucial role is diabetes. Is there an effective nutritional approach that allows for efficient management of this condition?
Low glycemic index diet
The low glycemic index (LGI) diet is aimed at all people with a low-carbohydrate diet, i.e. low-sugar diets. Whether or not a product can be incorporated into the diet, although its glycaemic index is important. It is recommended for patients with insulin resistance and type 1 and type 2 diabetes, as well as future mothers who will develop diabetes during pregnancy. The diet is based on the lowest-carb products in the world, namely glucose and sugar. Although it also includes the low-glycemic-index, it is recommended that the product also has a high blood sugar content.
