Cholesterol metabolism
Of course, one of the basic physiological processes is cholesterol metabolism, i.e. the process of its breakdown and synthesis. It is rather a coincidence of these phenomena and the factors that determine the transport of cholesterol in the body affect its concentration in blood vessels. This compound supplied with dietary cholesterol is found in the small intestine, where it is divided into two. However, most of the damage to the blood vessel and, in combination with lipoproteins HDL and LDL, is only responsible for the body's primary purpose of transporting cholesterol from the body to the stomach.
