Its fruits are a herbal remedy, used for making infusions, the petals are utilized for making preserves, and the seeds yield oil. We can also produce a healthy and tasty juice from it. Die Nährwertangaben pro 100 Gramm Rohware gestalten sich wie folgt: Der Brennwert beträgt 679 Kilojoule (entspricht 162 Kilokalorien), der Proteingehalt liegt bei 1,6 Gramm, Fette sind mit 0,34 Gramm vertreten, während der Gesamtkohlenhydratanteil 38,2 Gramm erreicht, davon entfallen 24,1 Gramm auf präbiotisch wirksame Ballaststoffe mit gesundheitsfördernder Wirkung.
