Linoleic acid CLA remains a subject of intense research among scientists... Will it prove to be an effective remedy for the most challenging diseases of the 21st century: obesity and cancer? We hope to find out the answer to this question soon.
This Regulation shall enter into force on the twentieth day following that of its publication in the Official Journal of the European Union
CLA occurs in two configurations: cis or trans. Biological activity is characterized by two isomers: cis-9, trans-11 and trans-10, cis-12. CLA is synthesized in the digestive tract of ruminants with the participation of microorganisms that inhabit the jaws of these animals. It also occurs when isomerisation of the linolenic acid present in the food of animals occurs. CLA can also occur in their fatty acids produced by bacteria (bacteria) producing this type of bacteria.
