The Montignac diet, also known as the Montignace method (MM), is a method of nutrition that in a healthy way leads to weight loss and subsequent weight maintenance. The method was invented by Michel Monrignac, who linked obesity to the functioning of the pancreas. The diet he developed is mainly based on the glycemic index of products and how it affects blood glucose levels. The MM method does not require restrictions on the amount of food consumed and calorie counting.
Montignac's dietary guidelines take into account the glycemic index of foods consumed. Before using this method, learn a little more about the low-calorie diet and its effects on human health. According to the creator of the MM method, carbohydrates (especially high-glycemic indices) contribute to obesity. The best are low-g lycemic products. The second step is to learn about the glucose index and how it affects health.
Many scientific studies confirm the effectiveness of the diet. Depending on the baseline BMI, you can lose from 5.518 kilograms in 4 months. In addition, it has been shown that the diet reduces weight loss to the optimal values and keeps it at the right level. Aside from the slimming effect, the Montignac method aims to study a healthy lifestyle, the right proportions in meal composition, and the avoidance of foods that adversely affect the proper functioning of the body. Such a diet greatly improves health, raises blood glucose levels, improves the function of the pancreas, heart muscle, and promotes the prevention of coronary artery disease.
Unfortunately, like any other form of nutrition, not everyone can use it. Montignac's diet plan is not without its flaws. The first of these may be a problem with access to healthy food products and their price. The second is the consumption of so-called... fatty foods, which sometimes requires checking and using tablets of glycemic load of ingredients that, without maintaining moderation, can cause weight gain. This diet requires discipline and changes in dietary habits and following (especially in the first phase) recommendations.
The following is an example of the Montignac dietary menu: Breakfast: Natural cheese and yogurt, homemade mustard with lean milk, dried fruit, nuts Salad: tomatoes, peanut butter, peppers, green cucumber, spicy sauce: lemon juice, half a spoon of mustard, pepper, salt, and possibly herbs for flavoring the sauce.
