Neem (Indian honey)
Neem is a species of tree in the honey family native to the Indian subcontinent. Indian honey is a plant characterized by its high ability to survive in adverse weather conditions, hence its high resistance to temperature and drought. Neem trees are excellent in semi-arid areas, so they can also be found in arid regions of India, as well as in tropical regions of the world such as Indonesia, Australia and western Africa.
The properties of neem
The biologically active substances obtained from each part of the neem tree (seeds, branches, fruit, bark, roots, leaves, flowers) have extremely valuable properties for the human body and are therefore used in ayurvedic medicine.
Oil of neem
Neem tree oil is obtained from cold-pressed seeds of Indian honey. It has a variable colour, ranging from dark yellow to olive to brown, and has a specific odor. Its bitter taste is caused by the presence of triglycerides and triterpene compounds. Due to its rich nutrient content, Indian honey oil has found practical use in cosmetics for skin and hair care as well.
Apply neem oil
Neem oil helps in the treatment of acne. The fatty acids in neem protect the skin from external factors and also help in the removal of stains and discoloration of the skin. It can also be used as a skin mask to prevent the spread of rashes. It reduces the symptoms of skin inflammation, pain, and healing of wounds.
